Best. Wedding. Evar.
I think this may well be my second-favorite episode this season. Aside from the slightly-dogdy CG (furred beasties are really hard to do, FWIW) and a couple of minor plot holes, everything else was brilliant.
So happy with the way they reintroed Jenny, and the way she got on with Emily so readily. The fiancee was definitely cute--and quite understanding at the end, there! Loved how Jen got a chance to save the day, too. And the final bit of the wedding? With Lester? And Connor in a hat? *ded from giggles*
Speaking of Connor, he was more-or-less perfectly written, IMHO. Exactly the right blend of clever, badass and goofy. And Andrew looked delicious, too. Also amused at the so-called argument. *snort*
Gideon's death scene was very well handled, and it was nice to see Matt showing some real emotion. Also glad we got a bit more backstory for him, too. Overall, I feel like he kind of gained a whole level in character development this episode, without it feeling forced at all.
Raging curious now as to what the deal is with Ethan and his brother. He obviously took on someone else's identity, but who? And why? This was probably the first episode where I actually started giving a shit about him and Emily. Bummer it took this long.
The Becker/Jess shippers got quite a little treat, though I'm still smelling fag/hag. ;) Pity I didn't get to see him with his proper boyfriend and girlfriend, but there was enough timeline room there for them to have a few more romps in between. (Speaking of such: The second half of Caregiver will be posted in a few hours!)
Oh, and while I'm on the subject of porn: There will be one seriously raunchy bachelorette party on offer when I get a chance to write it. ("Oh, Abby! Doesn't Emily look smashing in my dress?" "Definitely, Jen. But honestly, I think she'd look even better out of it...")
