A few more observations from my ongoing Blu-Ray capping adventures:
When Jess asks Becker about girlfriends/boyfriends, he has this sort of... interesting reaction to the boyfriends mention. His face gets just a hint of a faraway, dreamy look.
There's another great bit of B/C silent communication at the beginning of 4x03 when Connor gets stuck behind.
I dunno why, but I love A/B's bickering about unlocking the anomaly. And Connor seems slightly disturbed by their tiff, too. (More than just being disturbed by the circumstances.)
There are a few frames in the hospital scene where Emily's putting her jacket on, and... Well, let's just say that the top half of that pretty, white bodice of hers? Is a bit see-through. :)
There's a shot in this where Ruth K really, really looks like Nicki Clyne. It's almost freaky.
I think I could honestly do an entire vid just with A/B moments. And, in fact, I may.
HD closeups can really be quite humanizing. Looks like poor Andrew's had a rough go with skin issues over the years. Might be why he does the scruff so much--hides the spots and scars. On the other hand, Ruth K has utterly flawless skin. Ugh.
Here's a bit of blasphemy: In some ways, Connor/Jess and Abby/Becker would make better couples. The other configuration is better only if one assumes there needs to be one person dominant/one submissive in any given relationship. That said? Connor clearly has a major submissive streak; he's one of those folks who actually does need a dominant partner. And I don't mean that in a formal D/s sort of sense. Just that he's much more comfortable with someone else calling the shots. He can take control when he needs to, or when his ire's up, but he'd rather not if he has a choice.
More blather on this stuff as I keep going on this project... Which, btw, will be released in segments. I'm looking into a proper web host to get them all live, so they don't lose any quality, but once that's sorted, I'll have 4x01-4 posted within a week or so. I know it seems odd to take so long on just a capping project, but since I'm using raw BR files, it takes a bit of fiddling to do frame-by-frame stuff to get the exact right shot. Too much of that starts making the render go corrupt, so it's definitely fussy work. Going through a 45-minute episode takes about four hours that way. But I do think the end result has been worth it so far. There are some absolutely gorgeous shots. Like so (click for a bigger version; the final size for these will be 1920x1080):
